Assignment Given: MONDAYS

Due back: THURSDAYS

Every Monday you will receive the attached worksheet for your Weekly Social Studies Homework.( This sheet will not be sent home weekly only this once, and will be posted on my weblog) This assignment will be given to you on Mondays, (or Tuesday if we have no school Monday) and will be due back on Thursday Mornings. This is a Social Studies assignment to help you be aware of what is going on in our world around us. You are to pick an article from a newspaper, or from or one of the websites below to use.  You then need to tape or glue the article to the back of the worksheet.  You are then to answer the questions in complete sentences and use details from the article to answer the questions. Every Thursday I will randomly pick a few students to share what they have learned and tell us where their article is from. Each month you will share at least one time, but everyone is to complete this assignment weekly.

Have fun reading I can’t wait to see the amazing news you find.

Please remember the article you pick should be appropriate for school and should not include violence. If you want help your parents can help you find a good article and may read it with you or to you if it is too hard. Using the websites below will be just right reading for you. Newspapers will be a little hard for you to read on your own.

Below are lists of websites I have found that the students can use to find their article for the week:
